Emotive Movement Workshop

Saturday 27th June — 2.00 to 6.00 pm:nia in Wellington

The Emotive Movement workshop is going to be an exploration of the body-emotion connection using music and dance and will be guided by Nia FreeDance principles. The workshop will be 3 hours of exploration ending with a 50 minute Nia class to put into practice what we have explored and embodied.
Who should attend:
  • Those who want a better understanding of the role of emotion and its connection to (repercussions in) the body
  • Those who want more freedom to feel and express their emotions in a safe and playful way
  • Those who want to find more authenticity and creativity in movement
  • Artists, dancers, yogis, yoginis, physical educators, mindful movers…movement creatives!
This class is an OPEN class – no previous experience is needed in any discipline – just come with an open mind and be prepared to move and be moved.
